In the UK, they are one of the most successful duos of all time. They were voted Best British Group at the British Music Awards in 1989. In the USA, they had three top 20 hits, including this song.

Vince Clarke was in Depeche Mode and Yazoo before Erasure. Singer Andy Bell has done a lot of work for charity and causes especially AIDS and PETA.

I was so into this group back in 1994! Andy Bell's voice is unique.

This is the song I most associate with my ex. We had a wonderful but tumultuous relationship in the early 90s and ultimately broke up, yet I was still devastated by his untimely death in 2007. RIP Steve.

Andy Bell has a phenomenal voice and it's just the same live. He did a "Live at Home" concert from his garden during the 2020 lockdown (it's here on YT I think) and was just as amazing as ever. He absolutely killed it. Highly recommend you check it out.

After he left Depeche Mode, Yazoo and The Assembly, Vince Clarke disapeared for a little while and reemerged with Erasure, which is by far his most productive endeavour - he's an electropop pioneer (and legend), one of my favourite artists ever.
