This is a video about the new developments in involute gearing technology, as well as the theory behind the New-CVT transmission.

It does not explain the math’s in detail, but it does explain some basics that most people should be able to understand.

For those seeking more info on the conical involute gear type, also know as the beveloid or tapered gear, this video is an absolute must.

Excellent Video. Your Video helped me to understand many things better and inspired me to model these gears in Solidpython/Openscad. However I got the feeling my pressure angle calclulation for the multi ratio gear is wrong. Can you tell me which pressure angle you have used for the multi ratio gear picture on your website (the red and blue/ green gear).? My gears have another pressure angle...

Keep up the interesting and entertaining work.

This helped a lot to explain the mechanism.

I wanted to ask about how do you know in which part of the multi-ratio gear is It interlocking so that you can move to the next single-ratio gear - but then I though that If you have 2 ratios, there should be 2 different torque values ~> therefore If you messure them you know in which part of the gear you are and to which single-ratio gear you can move.

I'm not an engineer, so my explanation maybe be completely wrong.

Идея классная! А как это изготавливать в металле? Я имею в виду обработку заготовок.
