One time I landed in Miami Intl. Airport in Florida and the tower was there. I said: "Miami Ground, Delta 225, request taxi to parking."
The ATC said: "Delta 225, Continue taxi." Not too bad, right? So I reply him and I say this: "Delta 225, request permission to cross Runway 26L." Then the ATC says: "Delta 225, taxi to Runway 08L, contact tower when ready."

The worst thing is when I request vectors to a GPS approach tot their airport they say expect vectors and even after minute of flying in a hold pattern no vectors (although appreciate the extra xp from flying around in circles XD)

in my flight simulator I'm always told by ATC not to ask for push back clearance and that it is based on the pilots digression.

One thing I hate is when you request an approach and they tell you to head in a certain direction then don’t give you anymore instructions and don’t say anything else to you, also I hate when you request a takeoff and immediately after that they give another plane clearance to land on the same runway
