NASA leaders will take you step-by-step through our plans for deep space exploration – starting with the research our astronauts are conducting on the International Space Station in low-Earth orbit, to our proving ground – where space technology, science missions and our asteroid redirect mission converge to make long-duration spaceflight possible – enabling a future human mission to the Red Planet.

Send your questions to us using #AskNASA and follow #Mars to get in on the discussion.

And for a sneak peek, check out our new video that outlines our Path to Mars here: NASA's Path to Mars

I wasn't born when man stepped on moon but I'd love to be alive and see when man reaches mars

This is interesting. Now this is why NASA should be well funded, instead of meaningless war.

It's sad that we live in a word where an agency like NASA needs to use job creation as a way to seem relevant in the public's eye. Saying ''we're trying to do what no human has done before, for the benefit of all'' doesn't quite do it for some reason...

NASA I think you're amazing. Your critics don't actually know about most of the work you do, ignore them.

Just recently I’ve been watching these videos and with each one I’m drawn into them more and more. Even the science documentaries on National Geographic and Discovery are very fascinating. I seriously hope NASAs videos are making their way into schools across the globe because these are more than educational worthy, they are windows into what the future may have in store for us .

Maybe if people actually stood up for space exploration and gave NASA the funding it deserves, we would be talking about a manned Jupiter mission. Instead it's going to be years before we even leave LEO again, and twenty before we land on Mars.

If only NASA could get 4 % of BNP like it used to... Imagine all the missions!

This reminds me so much of Kerbal Space Program (didn't NASA help on the latest update?)

I'll believe it when I see it.

If NASA comes through on these goals, it will inspire future generations. Much like Apollo inspired current engineers and astronauts. God speed!
