My dad was a co-investigator on InSight since the beginning so it was cool to see it launch

I'm glad YouTube is trending this, kids need to be aware of these matters.

I always wanted to be part of NASA, then I grew up and realized you have to be a ducking genius.

Why NASA does not still use metric system ? Is not the reason why one of MARS missions crashed in past ?

So cool to see this. My Dad was Director of Operations at Vandenburg back in '67-'71. I had the run of the base and hiked all over south Vandenberg where the Atlas gantrys were located. Mom & Dad retired in Lompoc which became home base for my family. We watched over 100 launches... Minutemen, Titans, and Atlas rockets. It was a great place to grow up for a curious kid who became an engineer.

I enjoy everybody being mad about the use of imperial measurements for a public broadcast, but yet I dont hear many people yelling at their pilots for not using metric when they fly...

you could atleast have taking a really video from all the satelits that are up there ...or have they fall down ..?

Um, who was taking pics of the landing? Was there a camera crew already there? You would think the craft would have a mounted camera....

Mars is a spherical planet. Not flat, and not waffle shaped. Like if you agree👍🏻. Comment if you disagree.
