The Water Key can be obtained by defeating the Tide Keeper Boss, located on the Forgotten Island. Once you obtained the water key, talk to the Daigrock The Sharkman NPC located in front of a house on the Forgotten Island. He will sell you the Sharkman Karate fighting style.

I got it first try when my level was lvl930. I was trying to get the V move in venom so i killed him with some friends.

I randomly got it my first attempt at the boss, but two max levels came out of nowhere and tried to kill me. They've must've been horrible at the game, since they both failed to even hit me. Now I don't think I can even go back to that area without getting targeted by them again. :/
