Oil is oil. As long as it meets the API standards it's fine.

I'm actually a fan of the cheap Walmart full synthetic SuperTech or Amazon Basics full synthetic. Every time I send a sample in to Blackstone, it always comes back excellent. I've run it all the way to the manufacturer 10k oil change and Blackstone STILL shows the additive pack has life left. I don't run it to the 10k mileage, but it's comforting knowing the oil is that good.

I used fram oil filters for years on all my cars and never had any issues.

I noticed today when I was in Advance Auto Parts. That I believe the Fram name took place of the Carquest name. The reason I come to this conclusion. I was looking for some transmission fluid. I usually buy the Carquest brand. There was none in sight. I picked up a bottle of Fram transmission fluid and look at the back of the bottle. Everything on the back of the bottle what's the same as the old Carquest bottles. I am assuming they relabeled the old Carquest products to Fram now.

Bottles used to say Carquest, now they say Fram. It's just oil, the name is a gimmik.

Ok you talk a lot, but say little. 2 simple questions. Fram Full Synthetic bad or good and why (data)? And what did it do to your engine like you posted in your description?

Oil is oil. No oil being sold on shelves will destroy your cars engine lol what destroys your cars engine is the owner who waits 50k miles in between oil changes

Castrol edge in black bottle. You will NEVER have engine issues with that oil.

I can vouch for Warren motor oil; been using it since the late '90s-to-early 2000s. No problem! On Amalie, it was very well-known back in the '70s, but for some reason, it faded away from most auto parts stores.

This video is a few years old and we've been running Fram motor oils in most of our trucks and equipment at work now for about 5 years. I will note that we do not use Fram filters. Prior to Fram we were using valvoline oils almost exclusively. In that time period we've seen no difference in engine were or oil related failures VS valvoline. Now I can't tell you the exact addive package for each brand but I can say after 5 years I'm confident in the quality of Fram motor oils. We have several trucks that came in new when we switched to fram and have since seen 300K plus miles and significantly higher than average ide hours and we have not experienced any issues with those trucks other than those attributed to normal wear and tear. I have no affiliation with Fram other than that is the brand of oil my employer chose to purchase. We do purchase through advance auto. Most of our trucks or Isuzu NPR's with the GM 6.0L L96. We purchase oil in 55gal drums and it is purchased through advance and shiped directly to our shop. It is in fact made by Amalie. That's stated in the SDS sheet that comes with the drum.

I just buy valvoline s.b. and change 3000 with a wix filter, and a bottle of prolong and I sleep good. Lol. I've done this in all of my cars over the years and NEVER an issue.

I like the Supertech quality. I use it in my 17 year old crossover. Royal Purple is in my GDI crossover for its low viscosity performance. <warren indust that makes the supertech has been around since 1922. Their oil tests well and its used by Amazon Basic... and OReilly brand oil i believe. >

I use fram XG10060 oil filters and when I change my oil I always cut the filter open and I see no problems at all. They are a good filter.

I put Fram oil in my car once and was a noticeable difference. Let’s just say I never used it since.
