Freddie was a master performer & true professional. Something unexpected happens in this performance that no one notices. When Freddie turns on the piano bench toward Brian May, you expect to hear another of his amazing solos but there's only 1 note. Watch carefully & you'll see him almost immediately unplug his guitar. Something had gone wrong & he had to run backstage to the technician. In those same 2 seconds Freddie sees the problem & immediately gets up & starts working the audience. Brian is back in short order. You see Freddie look back to notice his arrival & the whole thing goes on nearly seamlessly. I think he earned a 10!!!

I was at that concert in Montreal. I was blown away during the whole concert. Freddy was only drinking tea with honey and lemon during his concerts. The beer was there for publicity only. I was also at the LIVE AID concert and was part of that unforgettable performance by Queen. I will never forget it ! Queen was one of my favorite band on live shows. They were better than on the recorded version. I guess I was one if the lucky ones to have seen them live. 😊😊

Someone may have already mentioned this, but Freddie didn’t drink beer at the shows. He didn’t want to burb. Freddie would typically keep tea with honey to drink and if you noticed, he took that drink right before he hit a big note

Freddie didn't drink anything fizzy including beer before or during performances. He said he didn't want to risk burping into the mic, as it would be disrespecting the audience. He drank tea with honey while onstage to keep his throat from drying out.

Freddie never had singing lessons, so his performance is all the more remarkable. But as he said once, he was 25% of Queen. John, Roger and Brian are also worldclass musicians. Thanks for the great video!

It wasn't beer when he was signing live. He would sip on on water with honey in it. Great reaction

Can’t do much better than this. All 4 on point, they knew each others ways and played into it. They also fed off the audience.

I have zero musical expertise. But, I get goose bumps when Freddie’s voice and the piano start doing their thing. What a talent. What a showman. And what a loss for us all when he died. ❤️

The greatest live performance of a song there has ever been or will ever be, 4 musical geniuses at their absolute best.

Freddie makes people smile. That's a great talent too.

Freddie at the top of his game was absolutely the best. Even with a throat infection and doctors telling him not to perform, he still gave the greatest live performance in history at Live Aid... that's how amazing the guy was. Most singers would kill to be as good as Freddie on an off day.

Wow… how amazing was this? Somebody to Love live is the greatest performance I have ever seen alongside this. Where all four band members are so in sync with each other. It is emotionally moving no words could ever describe. Freddie was our Mozart and tragically we did not realise it when he was alive…. I hope whatever is on the other side he is feeling how much we love absolutely everything about him. He and Queen are the only fabulous people who literally take me out of my crappy life, worries, losses and problems…. I put my headphones on and play this, I am no longer in my living room with a pile of bills, people hassling me by phone, text or messages…..I am in my heaven, mesmerised, captivated and made to believe I am special ♥️ It never gets old and when I see you good people enjoying it as much as me it is truly heart warming. I was a little girl when Queen did the Live Aid concert. I just remember it was something really exciting to look forward to here in England, like a Royal wedding, after Charles marrying Diana… It was that much of an event. My mam who was from Limerick in Ireland knocked up a massive pan of Irish stew that morning, so when we got hungry during the epic day me and my brother could just go and help ourselves during the artist change overs so we wouldn’t miss a thing! Following the release the previous Christmas in 1984 of Band Aids Do They Know It’s Christmas single, which I actually still have. My big brother saved up money from his Saturday job at a butcher’s to buy it for me…. My birthday is the 21st December so it was a combined present along with Wham’s Last Christmas which came out at the same time. Besides Star Wars toys that was my greatest present of all time 😊 I clearly remember when Freddie ran out on to that stage it was like the lights had been truly switched on….Thank you so much for making a lonely lady feel like I am not….. for you are transported to planet Mercury with me for a little while. I have just discovered your channel and I look forward to learning from your other mini movies…. Your breathless astounding silence at the end was priceless at the end of Somebody to Love. 😌Take care handsome man….Julie from the other side of the world…..Manchester, England 💋x

Have to say I absolutely adore that smile on your face from the moment Freddie started till the end. This is why we Queen fans are so happy to watch new reactors because we know they will not only be blown away but just can’t help like us being happy. Great reaction. From the UK 🇬🇧.

Than you for your reaction to my favourite band . My favourite song too . I must say many thanks for mentioning Roger and his wonderful drumming and backing vocals. Most reactors totally ignore what he does and indeed ignore Brian and John too . Cheers from me just over Bass Strait from you 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
