You can, but people should also do projects on their own for sure. Good stuff my brother, keep up and please don't quit. <3

Just like to add for all the newbies out there. I have been a professional software developer for over 30 years. Software languages and technology change all the time. In the past 10 years YouTube and the internet in general has been my only source of education. I have learned HTML5, React, Docker, Nginx, Unity, Android, Python, AI all from YouTube, and also used them in my day job. Building your own stuff is the key, don't just watch, have an idea and make it happen. I've only just discovered this channel where I will be learning Kubernetes. Keep up the good work !!

I learned the most by making own project after getting a head start from a tutorial

In this field, you learn all the time. You'll constantly be learning. You can 100% learn online but at the same time, you'll notice that everyone only does beginner guides. There aren't a lot of advanced things which means it's on YOU to do them yourself.

My question would be "can you learn to code without youtube" ; The way I learn is that I do not limit myself to only one source for learning, for shorter tasks I use articles and stackoverflow, for stuff that I can not understand using articles or I feel to lazy to read them or it's a topic that needs a bit more explanation I use videos, and for topics that I have no idea of it but I would like to learn them in detail I use books. That's how I learn, and it's proven to be very successful for me.

My issue comes from the teachers, what needs to be made clear or explained are the effective ways in which programming works. What so many YouTube teachers get wrong is that they ignore or assume that people learning should know some things beforehand, not only that, they're not good at explaining things very well, they explain stuff very text-book-like and it's boring. You CAN learn from YouTube provided that you understand the concepts and research those, look for other resources and examples if your "YouTube Teacher" isn't very clear, on top of this, make your own projects, the teacher in the video should be able to help with this which many don't. It would be preferable if the instructor in the video, gives examples of projects that can be made with the technology they're currently learning and explain WHY, the key reason is the WHY.

You absolutely can, I'm on 6th semester of my uni and i learn to code from youtube most of the time. Even if you're on uni, you're gonna be self taught programmer. But the big note is, you have to do coding of your own, make project, doesn't have to be big. The tutorial is just a guide to show that this problem can be solved with certain solution, even tho there are a lot of way to solve a problem. And the you have to be curious about coding related to be able to know what's trending, what people use on industry, etc. And you have to be able to read library's documentation, that's the most important thing too

Coding is definitely the easiest part when you're highly proficient with a language. A couple years ago, I would have said otherwise. Practice just makes perfect.

I laughed and then liked the video when you said you’ve already planned the project for tutorials Nd more also you are not a genius that’s being Honest . People always think everything will go smoothly when coding in reality errors upon errors before things goes right. Jazaakallahu khayran

Thank you so much for the content and the advice. I am actually new to coding and am working on Python. I really liked your video and it made me realize how much I can improve and make my own path.

I know this dude who's in federal prison, we were working on a project, I know nothing about coding, & this man knows everything.. There's more back story, but this is the crux of it. So I was told this guy would help us get our project up and running, this was about 5 months before the pandemic hit. We were emailing each other, (yes federal inmates can send and receive email) He told me to install Ubuntu and install said programs like docker and ruby, and I downloaded a git-dump and he started sending me lines of code to code, he kept telling me to learn docker.. The federal prison system has been on lock-down ever since ... he's been able to call and email a few times but nothing like before.. He's getting out in April.. So I'm learning as much as I can

Mostly people suggested to write code with them but it's temporary knowledge. Better to understand the logical part and try by self. Perfect advice for making project by self.
Thanks & god bless you.

Honestly, this is probably one of the best videos when it comes to answering the question people often have of "How do I learn to code".
Although I would say the title is misleading 😋 ...because the advice is applicable for all types of tutorials not just the ones found on YouTube.
