How can I learn English by myself?

From my own experience
I am spanish native
But I ended up learning english and japanese by my own without another people. Just doing things I liked. Like watching movies, reading books or playing videogames.

If you are continuously adding Information to your brain from another language and you are getting fun, then you will understand it more until you learn the basics.
Of course you may study it, but remember that you learned your mother tongue without any tutorial or any base language.
You just recieved information that you eventually assimilated.
So that's my advice: if you wanna learn a foreign language just try to getting fun at the learning process. ^w^)b

Thank you, Christian, I do admire your teaching style being an English teacher myself. But here I'd like to add - not all people study a language to communicate, some people dream to read a book in the original but not to communicate, some love to receive new information from YouTube, newspapers, etc and that's why they do need English or any other language . Although communication is quite important but it's not everyone 's goal.

Christian, I follow you from many years.
But I dont agree with you today.
I (and many other people with me) don't need English to mantain a conversation with anybody. I want to go to Great Britain or Irland in tourism, but...
But, I need English (yes, and French) to receive information from everywhere in this world, like your videos, or cinema, o theater, o literature, or youtube speaking from TED or Neil de Grass Tyson or Dr. Becky.
I really need to reed, and to listen English. And, some to write. But, to speak...
Of course, if I can learn speak a good English (good enough to be understood when I speak, it's my point)... "miel sobre hojuelas". But it's not my need today. And, for my life style, probably never.
And I think it's not only my case.
