LISTEN: 911 call released in Grantville, Georgia gun store murder

Coweta County officials released the 911 call where the city coroner, also a relative of the victims, discovered the scene.

Horrible. I can tell by the stress in his voice, breathing, etc he's very upset. I'd bet my paycheck going forward he had nothing to do with this. But the fact the doors were locked and he couldnt get in the store tells me he doesn't have access that day. I hope they find who did this and I'm sorry for your lost🥺.

The only thing I find weird is how everything is locked up. Who would go and take their time to lock all the doors after they've just killed 3 and stolen 40 guns. They'd be in a big damn hurry to leave I would assume

He’s the county coroner. He’s in contact with 911 dispatchers a lot. The “How are you” is just habitual at this point.

I can't believe that anyone would think that he did this to his family. I know Richard and he is a great man that loved his family more than anything. Richard has been out to so many scenes being an EMT and then the coroner that even though this was his family, he knows procedure and has the ability to do what needs to be done. I know this man is beyond devastated and to know that people in Coweta county would make comments about Richard like this is ridiculous!

I’m sorry but he doesn’t sound very upset to just discovering his son was murdered. It’s also suspicious that he immediately says my family has been shot. How does he know the details? Also, he asks the operator how she is doing?? Is he serious?? Also, no CPR assistance? I would have broken a window to get to my child lying on the floor with blood all over. This 911 call is a bit alarming….

He was abt to say where the blood was coming from on his son ect... but he stopped his self... because he claimed he couldn't get in.... I could be wrong, I hope that I'm wrong... but something just didn't set right with this call... was those gun shots in the back ground

"How are you?" Wow. So, I am assuming his laissez-faire attitude is because he is a county coroner and he is used to seeing trauma. Yet. I still have questions. Why does he ask for police, but not an ambulance? He sees his son bleeding yet he doesn't try to do everything possible to get to him and render aid? I would have driven my truck through the door. And why doesn't he have keys to get into his own building? It makes no sense.

I think his line of work has conditioned his brain to interpret differently than the average eye. As he’s looking through the door he’s accessing his son’s body and banging on the door for movement because hearing is the last of the senses to go. I think his breathing is consistent with a state of shock knowing his child is laying on the floor. Hope his son wasn’t into drugs or anything being this close to Atlanta. I’m thinking this has to do with money owed in some form since his son was just getting home from college. It’s just to coincidental 🤯🤯🤯

Something is wrong, where are those 3 shots coming from in the background 🤔, did he see the assailant fleeing, because shots are clearly being fired during the 911 call, he says he could not get in, then highly unlikely whomever fired those shots could get away without him seeing them, hand sanitizer 99.9% sure .
