How To: Install a LED in a Headlight of a Brass Steam Locomotive

Appreciate the info. By the way, you can carefully bend the LED 90 degrees so that the light element is facing forward while the wiring leads are still parallel to the horizontal plain of the tracks. It takes a little practice with a very, very light touch. Again, thank you.

I take the MV lense and drill carefully from the back and about half way through, do not rip the foil, just make hole. I canopy glue a 0603 led to the back. Not as bright, but looks like a light bulb in a reflector. I really like the look, even turned off. To bad MV lenses are no longer available.

Question I am.gettimg into model scale trains I want too set train. Around my house on the wall what's a good scale that would be a good for my family and friends too see and enjoy I want a cheap decent train with smoke a lights as well what do you recommend I was thinking a ho train I haven't been too a model train store in az yet too look around can you give me your opinion please and thank you for reading my post
