Thank you for creating this bit where you will have to cut the plastic top piece to slide in the copper. That saved me from tearing my hair out.
Side Tip: I used duct tape to hold the opposite ends of the wall strip while I patted the sticky side down to make it stay on its own down the wall. I was doing this solo without anyone to help hold down the other ends 😅

Not advised with rgbic strips. It could work but the longevity and communication between chips can become compromised.

If you make the tape longer you may need to also get a better power supply. Power supplies can only push the power so far. Check the stats of your power supply if you do this.

These 12v non addressable RGBs degrade color over long run. Not sure if there are voltage boosters for these. Otherwise if you don’t care about color degradation (its slight but noticeable) these are great if you like for it to be solder free

There are also some clips that have sharp pins that go through the copper and the rubber on top. They make a perfect connection and you don't need to prepare the LED strip.
