Classic corporate move: buy a successful brand then ruin the product by making it cheaper and just keep selling the label and reputation. It used to take a long time for people to realize lesser quality, but these days it’s easier to spread the word and find a better product. Sucks. kudos for keeping it real.

It's a shame. I worked for two manufacturing companies that after the father, original owner, died, the kids ran it into the ground and the other the kids sold it to the largest corporation in that industry. Both are now just max profit corporations that care only about shareholders and investors than they do the quality of the product and their customers.
