What is the Video Game Industry?

Hello!

A lot of people are huge gamers, but seldom understand the structure of the gaming industry. I’ve noticed this, and maybe you have to. This is why I needed to make this video.

So, what is the gaming industry? What does it take to build a game?

In this week’s video, I delve into the different departments in the gaming industry. If there’s one thing you can take out of this video, it’s that the gaming industry is not just about building a game. It’s so much more!

It is amazing, be nice to see more exclusive sports titles such Madden get more love from the devs though! Video games were the future and now they are a big part of everyday life. From cell phones to consoles, to science and medicine. One day all you will need is a super smart phone! Nice video!

Whilst publishers still provide developers with funding for the most part, I think it's worth the mention of crowd funding, becoming more and more popular amongst independent developers but much riskier too as the developers may not always deliver the product.

Its a cultural industry! But man, seeing that Times Square ad makes me wish Destiny was actually good enough to justify it and its "Become Legend" tagline.
