In this video, I show some of the changes I'm making to the 5th draft of "Ottoman Destiny", the fourth book in the Trevor Knight series. I like doing these videos. I love editing and covering books in red ink. Hopefully you find some value out of it, even if only to laugh at my mistakes, such as my egregious pronunciation of "Hagia Sophia".

This was the third video showing my edits to Ottoman Destiny. I began this draft by editing Act 2 and 3 because I'm starting each draft on a different act, reasoning that I'll have most of my energy at the start, so I will have thorough edits for that act. So for the 4th draft, I began with Act 1. For this, the 5th draft, I began on Act 2. For the 6th draft, I'll start my edits on Act 3, and for the 7th and final draft, I'll begin editing the book with Act 4 first. I think there is a tendency to get tired and want to simply get done with a book, so as a result your edits for the back-half of the book may become sparse, and as a consequence the first part of the book is meticulously edited and the latter half sparsely edited. I am trying to even it out, so each act gets thorough edits at one time or another.

First video, 4th draft, 1st act edits:

Second video, 4th draft, 2nd act edits:

Again, this was the 5th draft, 2nd and 3rd act.
And yes, I am over-explaining this.
