Ok, this is wrong information because of Wikipedia. Actually, Mahidevran was a sultan. We can learn that from the itikname, which is such an official sales contract for selling slaves. After the execution of Şehzade Mustafa, as a rule, Mahidevran's slaves should be sold, and for that, an itikname was written by officers in the palace. In this document, Mahidevran was called "Mahidevran Sultan". For more information, you can review the article by Sadettin Eğri (2016), who is a researcher and historian.

Another issue is that foreigners generally misunderstand "hatun". Hatun is not a title. It means woman in old Turkish. For example, Mihrimah Hatun Cami has been written in front of Mihrimah Sultan's Mosque in Edirnekapi İstanbul. That makes sense as Mihrimah is not just a sultan but also a hatun(woman)😅.

We know in Turkey that Mahidevran was a sultan, but for foreigners, this is a debateful issue unfortunately
It is interesting😮

Everyone thinks that Mahidevran was a concubine. In fact, she was a Circassian princess .

It is said that she was more beautiful then Hürrem. The"most beautiful" is once again exaggerated like everything is about her. There are raports from ambassadors from which we know which women were truly known for their beauty like: Valide Ayse Hafsa Sultan, Haseki Ayse Sultan (consort of Murad IV) Turhan Sultan, Bidar Kadinefendi, Rahime Perestu Kadin

Here we go again 😊😊😊😊Mahidevran Sultan was not a simple concubine. She entered the palace with her marriage with Sultan Suleiman.
Mahidevran Sultan whose name before becoming the wife of Sehzade Suleiman then Sultan Suleiman, was Malahurüb Idarovna, was born around 1498 in the Taman Penninsula of the North of Caucasus, from the Kabardian Circassian ruler Idar Mirza and the daughter of Mengli Giray I, Nazcan-Begüm Hatun. She is also the niece of Ayse Hatun, wife of Sultan Selim I(often confused with Valide Hafsa Sultan). Malahurüb Idarovna married Sehzade Suleiman in February 1512 while he was in Kefe. Upon her marriage with him, she received the name of Mahidevran, which means the beauty of the era. She moved to Manisa with Suleiman on April 24, 1512 and gave birth to Sehzade Mahmut within the same year. In the contrary of the popular information stipulating that she only had one child (Sehzade Mustafa), she in fact gave birth to five children: Sehzade Mahmut (1512), Sehzade Mustafa (1515), Sehzade Ahmet (1518), Fatma Sultan (1521) and Raziye Sultan (1525) born the same year as Sehzade Bayezid son of Hurrem Sultan. In 1520, when Sultan Suleiman moved to the Old Palace with his family and harem; he respectively gave the title of Haseki Sultan and Valide Sultan to Mahidevran and Hafsa Sultan.
Mahidevran built a fountain the *Güzel Haseki Ceşmesi* in 1530 in her homeland. But, was destroyed due to the ongoing war between the Circassians and Crimean Tatars, during the 17th century. The ruined fountain was rebuild by the Mengli Princess Fatma Perver Hatun around 1640-1650. It is said that this fountain still gives water to this day....
Our Princess is not the l*ser they present her to be in Magnificent Century. She is not the woman who just seat and just watch everything fall around her. While she didn't have the support of her Husband, she acted with intelligence. She was not weak at all. There are letters available in which she is asking for protection from her homeland. She had her own spying workshop. With the capacities and fame of her son Mustafa along with her princely origin she was able to gather the support of many state men. During her lifetime, she received the honors of a Valide Sultan, and was seen as such.

No she was not a concubine at all. She was his legal wife. He could take free women as wife from several muslim royals. And Mahidevran was a free circassion princess. Difference is Hurrem was the first concubine who became legal wife from slavery.

Nonsense! All of the information is false! She was a free Circassian princess, she married Suleyman and had also a daughter. She was called haseki sultan. Hürrem was once a slave then married. Her difference is being a slave once then getting married. At that time they didn't marry slaves. The show tells it otherwise cause it is basically a show.

This is unbelievable and disgraceful. The owner of this channel made a video about Mahidevran Sultan. Even though the information shared in this video was inaccurate, but here we have people trying to suppress a woman who left this world centuries ago for no real reason. Just because they didn't like her false representation in a series (Yes completely false). I am seeing names of commentators that I am exchanging and discussing with for yeaaaars and I never encountered them saying something nice about this woman. Never. Anything said about this woman is problematic. She cannot have anything without being humiliated or being the victim of delibarate vicious propaganda. She was known to be the most beautiful woman during her Husband's era. Even Suleiman addressed her as such but you have people trying to promote the contrary because they loathe a woman they did not even take the time to make proper research on. These fans are a walking contradiction. They themselves said that this woman was poor but will tell you she supported a rebellion against against Suleiman (with what money??? Was it her wealth that Suleiman confiscated the moment Mustafa was executed?? Tell them this woman was seen and considered as the most beautiful during this era, even by her Husband, they will tell you this is not true while not even implying any the reports that survived and telling us so. Tell them thanks to her princely origin, the fame and capacities of Mustafa she was able to gather the support of most state men (which was proved even after Mustafa's death) they will tell you that's not true but still cannot explain how. What is that obsession with pushing Hurrem where she has no business in?? Why is that this woman cannot have her own moment? This is the entitlement that I've always addressed.

There is no such thing as the most beautiful, beauty is subjective.
