on the platonic friends conversation, almost every guy friend Ive had, stopped being my friend when they got a girlfriend. the girlfriends always told them that I wanted to be with my friend, all completely wrong/lies, therefore they were not allowed to hang out with me. My friends would always say it wasnt true but the girlfriends just insisted that deep down I was attracted to them.

This happened to me so many times, it really hurt that the girlfriends always attacked me and that the guys I thought were my friends just dropped me. I just stopped having male friends after college. so the insecurity goes both ways when it comes to platonic friendships.
