North Korea Executes Women For Recording Foreign TV Show

North Korea has executed three women for circulating a South Korean television drama, UPI reported Wednesday, citing a source. The three women were pronounced guilty for making copies of the show.

The women resided near Hyesan University of the Arts in the northern Ryanggang Province and were detained by police officials for recording the South Korean drama, which is based on a true story of a North Korean dancer who defected to the South in the 1990s, according to UPI. The show reportedly has real-life depictions of North Korea and talks about the disproportion between the country's elites and other residents...

The reason WHY they do such drastic things because of some seemingly "small thing" as distributing a kdrama is because it is things like that which could egnite a revolution in the DPRK. So just because it may feel CRAZY to us you have to understand it from their side and that they realize that the more information that slips in to their country because of cellphones and Internet (yes they have restricted access but yes there are loopholes) and a ever groving middle class it means that they just must grasp hold of their power that much harder, because if a revolution would occur and they would join the South then even the elites would loose everything and maybe even get executed.

so before putting such blame you must understand that their situation is so much more different than ours.
