I was a tester for this back in the 90's, my brother in law was an investor from the very beginning. It is happens very quick and is more humane than mouse traps. 😢

We have a new home....and somehow a med sized mouse got wife goes out to smoke....so i believe it got in through the door. But i used the snap traps with peanut butter...but no joy. Then went to Home Depot and got the blue zapper and placed a piece of chocolate as the morning found my problem fried to a crisp.

I've owned this for about 5 years. Have only caught about ten mice or so. Last several months the machine has only been tripped twice. Both times it was empty. Too many false positives with this rat zapper. Had to resort to poison which isn't quick, humane, or sanitary as this is, but far more effective.

As much as they tout 100% kill rate, I've actually heard a loud pop and seen a small mouse run out of the trap. The biggest problem is mice adapt. Most mice don't even bother with this trap. Maybe it's my fault. Need to switch bait from just peanut butter.

No more blood and guts all over the place I get from the snap traps. I love it!

I use the blue ones. I had a mouse in the house and have dogs, so this was a great solution. I set one up in the kitchen and was working in the dining room not 15 feet away and minutes later caught the thing.

I live in rural Hawaii and we have mice and rats (we have Norway and roof rats). The roof rats climb trees and jump onto the roof. Anyway. I take a blue unit, arm it and have it strapped to the railing where the rats seem to travel. One night I caught 3 all within a couple hours.

Holding the unit vertical, I use about 3 or 4 pieces of dry kibble (Costco's Kirkland brand dog food) and toss them into the unit so they fall all the way oin, then turn it so it sits on the wooden railing (a 2x4). I have a nylon cable tie that fits snugly around the unit to hold it in place. After catching and killing something, I tip in into a bag and take the dead animal way up the property and dump it. Since there is no poison, let the feral cats have it.

The only problem I have is if a dead animal stays in the unit too long, some fluid leaks out and eventually that can arc.We also have uite a bit of humidity here lately. I have poured some 91% Isopropyl alcohol along the inside bottom of the unit to clean it and remove moisture. It seemed to help the one time I did that. I made sure that the unit was turned off to make sure no zap could happen while the alcohol completely dries. I don't know what else would be a good cleaner or to dry it.

I have recommended these units and purchased 4 (selling 1 to a neighbor).

I have had my Ratzapper for about 6 years now and it keeps on killing em!  Had a problem with rats in my old house and it handled them easily. Recently have had an issue with mice and it kills them easily too! Love it, no muss, no fuss, just dead!

I just zapped a small mouse. If that mouse is in there will another one get zapped or does that first one need to be taken out first ?

I have an older version not even listed on their site anymore. Can't tell you how many mice it's caught over I'm guessing 15 years. Only on 2nd set of batteries. Had to totally disassemble it once about 5 years ago as it has become so full of debris that the plates were corroded. Just made another kill about 5 minutes ago.

Where is the video for the rat zapper that has wifi and notifies you on your phone when it catches a rodent?

I have the Rat Zapper trap that works great for a while. Then it stop working. I found out from the manufacturers that they need to be clean (dipped with soap solution). Luckily, the electronic component is on the top. I cleaned it and it works again. This went on a few more times. However, it doesn't work anymore even after I clean it. Any ideas?

I had a mouse in my garage and it kept outsmarting all my other Victor mouse traps but one thing it couldn't outsmart was electricity so I bought the classic version and it worked great and killed it ⚡⚡⚡⚡

Is it possible to deploy this in the garden (outdoors) provided it's sheltered from rain / wetness?

It's all hype. I bought a 4 pack of them a few months ago. one of them is already not functioning and customer support is not replying to my questions. Of the 3 remaining, I have about a 30% success rate. I spend more time resetting them with no dead rat to show for it. Its very rare for them to kill. Now, I still have a rat problem but they have learned to stay away from the "rat zapper." The only thing it zapped was my wallet. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone but I would sell mine in heartbeat to anyone.

I have bought two of these and they work once or twice and then stop working. The red light flashes so I put new batteries in it and it keep flashing and will not arm. For the $70 it's a complete waste of money. I took one back to Ace and thought it was just defective. Ended up having the same problem with the next one. Find a different trap!
