I got one Rat that has learned how to open the bait door from the outside, as hard as it is for me to open and close I couldn't believe it. I set up a video camera and recorded the kills and the rat opening the door to get the bait without going inside. It does work for sure, I have killed about 10 rats so far with it on one set of batteries. When they get shocked they don't even move or anything they just fall down and die right in the trap.

I wasn’t hoping this would be of much help when my fiancée bought it, Boy was I wrong! It caught two mice at the same time!! Very worth it!

Yes it works. I use it for mice. They learned to eat the peanut butter from the outside so I placed the bait (peanut butter) on the upper plate of the inside roof. This plate prevents the rat from backing out of the trap. Both rat and mice must go in to get to the bait. Do NOT place bait on metal plates. I got 4 so far. Thanks.

You should include little rat silhouette stickers to put on the trap when you get one.

I finally got these rats that were like beavers with this thing... everything else was not working. These rats got smart to all the other things... spring traps, sticky plates or whatever, but this thing got em.
I recommend this for mice as well. Rats were like 13"-15" long head to tail.

I'm wondering if mice have to be big for this to work on them. We have a small one, who ate all the peanut butter but the trap never went off. When I turned it on, it blinked green & made a light buzz sound, so I think it's activated..

Mine worked for the first week by catching two big mice. After that, it would not work. I went through all the troubleshooting tips, and now I’m through. Back to the old-fashioned methods.

how often should I clean the trap out. Meaning using soap and water and a brush?

I bought 2 of these and the bait door is clean every morning. I have tried taping over the holes so they can't reach in and get the bait through them but still does not work. I bought two of them I wouln't think two of them would be bad right out of the box. Is there a way to test these?

This caught are rat last night in the kitchen, it was suck a relif! I used the bait gel and a little piece of beef jerky and it couldint resist! Be sure to heat the jerky up so its extra smelly
