The Best (but common) Desk Setup 🎮

I've gotten a handful of comments recently asking what my desk is so let's talk about it. It's a butcher block from Lowes stained in Acacia Espresso and it's GORGEOUS. I just built a very similar desk since im moving in with my girlfriend. It looks amazing and the smooth surface is a whole other level of nice. Especially playing shooters because your arm just glides across the desk if you do rest your arm on the desk. Its real nice

Butcher blocks are made out of softer wood to catch the blade of the knife and not have bouncy like harder woods. Definitely looks like a real block to me and if you see very old ones they are usually very tarnished

The wood is acacia I was researching one and you have to oil it down every few months or it will get dry and scuff easily sturdy though. It’s an African tree

I got a 8 foot butcher block in espresso, coated it in polyurethane a few times and slapped two file cabinets from Walmart under it. It’s a great desk with plenty of space

To upgrade it you can use galvanized square steel and eco friendly wood veneer put together by the bolts you borrowed from your 7th aunt

I did butcher block for my desk and boy is that mf heavy, but just like yours it’s beautiful. Would highly recommend.
