We hit the pitch with our guy AK who gives you 3 key drills to help you with your balance as a footballer. In this episode you'll get to grip with the benefits of single leg exercises with each drill representing a different part of football. Drill 1 is all about single lateral cuts e.g. getting away from a defender or whilst dribbling with the ball. Drill 2 is about single leg landing e.g. from a header or perhaps an aerial chest control. Drill 3 is all about your acceleration and deceleration phase, a common feature in football. All the drills are bodyweight and have progressions to them.
it's important that you understand the fundamental movement before progressing so as not to risk getting injured. But by performing these drills, not only will you notice your balance begins to improve in game, but you are also protecting yourself and minimising the risk of injury!
