This is a somewhat interesting way to get a waki gatame arm bar. It's so effective at destroying an arm, that judo banned it in competition. But I can't help wondering why you didn't apply it directly to the leveraging arm as it comes in. If you have enough time to get a block, you could reduce the risk of the knife even getting that close. That would move you to the outside, stretch the leveraging arm, while keeping his body between you and the knife. As you turn to his outside, it would also give you a chance to scan and evaluate if there is more than one attacker. If it's just one you can drop to the ground and then pin the attacker. If it's more than one, you can snap the elbow with a quick motion, and then roll them off to the side like in a Kaitenage throw and then run, or move to the next attacker.

"War is for Professional Soldiers, But the World is full of Amateurs."
Not a bad technique. Just another one to study and add to your bag of tricks against a grab and stab.
Everyone should search for knife attacks caught on cctv. The more you sweat and train the less you bleed in contact. There are no guarantees in any kind of fighting no matter your level.

The problem with your technique is that you don't avoid atrit, is very danger to try stop this kind of attack because you not know how strong the attack of the agressor is, the best thing is move your body away from the danger area and try some technique.

This is not the best defence for a knife attack as it gives the attacker to many options to counter your moves, The fastest and best defencive move is once you have your hands on his wrist pull away from him and rotate towards his weak side raising his rist up over your shoulder in all one motion pulling has arm down over your shoulder breaking his elbow backwards. If you learn this move you can disable him and end the attack in less than a second. The quicker you put your attacker out of commision the less likely you are to get hurt. Marcial arts submission tactics are for sport, In self defence you need to do serious damage to your attacker as quickly as you can and eliminate his ability to hurt you.

I don't like the technique
But I will take what I can from it
I do suggest that within the technique you design an extreme attack in defense !
Grappling is very dangerous here !

From my perspective, it's a dynamic knife defense. Maybe some punches can be applied when the knife man is subdued on the ground. 🔪 🧞 🤛
