Citroen Dispatch Van Security Issue

This is one of our customer on his rental van ( His was in for repair but has dead locks fitted as well).
I believe these are the same van. Peugeot Expert & Fiat Scudo

Yep, I had my van broken into the same way, such as bad design, I have a van vault in the back now!

Just fit some deadlocks and remember to use them, it won’t stop a determined scumbag but it will be a big deterrent for most... 👍

Quick fix . Stick self adhesive wheel weights onto the door where the plunger strikes, I added two 10g weights on top of each other, managed to pull the bottom of the door out about an inch, didnt unlock. Obviously if you used a crow bar it may work, but if they're going equipped with that then they will get in anyway

Are these the electric doors or the standard pauper doors? Ratchet strap them together from the inside then back it up to a wall.

No tools left in my vehicle anyway, but if criminals want to get in to see this I’d rather they used this way, it seems far better than ripping the door open.

Nice one! Along with my van and hundreds if not thousands of these vans are having there tools taken. Why not just do a warning video if you have to do one at all.

So...presumably disconnecting the side door locking pin doesn't stop this way in?

Still amazes me how much vans cost these days yet the manufacturers STILL can't develop methods to stop them getting stolen. The locks on most vans are shocking and easily broken, we shouldn't have to keep spending hundreds of pounds fitting after market security

I'm buying one of these vans, this issue is quite well known. and to be honest if you are relying on factory fitted locks which are rubbish to protect, possibly thousands of pounds worth of tools etc then you are stupid. Hook deadlocks and armour plated locks cost about £700. SURELY it's a no brainer
