Putin appears to admit Russian losses in Ukraine

Vladimir Putin makes a televised video call with Russian teachers, telling them the Kremlin is 'working on the assumption that the situation in the new territories will stabilise'.

Russia has suffered significant losses in two of the four regions since Friday, when the Russian president signed treaties to incorporate them into Russia by force.

Putin's recent comments suggest he has conceded the severity of the Kremlin's recent military losses in Ukraine.
