It's Ollie from History Profiles, and this story will be about a man who was born into royalty and lived a lavish lifestyle, as a member of the Han Dynasty he was meant to protect and serve his citizens, however, he would do the complete opposite. The following is what can occur when a man has power and other people serving him, combined with psychopathic tendencies.

A case from over 2000 yers ago, wow so interesting, hard to say if he was framed or not but I would suspect he was reponsible for quite a few of the crimes

His kill count may have been exaggerated to whatever degree, but I don't think he was totally innocent lol. Thanks Ollie!👍

Just Like With Elizabeth Bathory, Power (With No Limits) Can Create The Worst Type Of Human Being In Anyone. If His Own Uncle Stripped Him Of His Wealth And Title...An Accusation Alone Wouldn't Have Made That Possible -- UNLESS There Were Witnesses To His Crimes Whose Claims Couldn't Be Refuted.

It's entirely possible that he was framed. It would be impossible to know for sure, the winning side wrote the history and the losing side is often depicted to be a horrible person.

In every instance of murderous tyrants I wonder why no one simply killed them as they slept or fought back until they got the monster. It's passive, or cowardly, acceptance of their behavior that lets them become as atrocious as they do. FIGHT BACK. This applies especially to legal recourse, too. No one is above the law.

I don't think he lasted more than a day in exile. I'd the emperors men didn't dispatch him, the families of the people he killed would have tracked him down soon enough. I imagine he was put to death hours after being made a commoner and loosing the protection of the emperor.

After his exile he probably became an ordinary bandit but without the protection, he probably went on as he usually did but underestimated the value of the protection he formerly enjoyed.
Anything could've happened to him after that, whatever it was I don't think it ended up well for him.

I strongly suspect that such an arrogant man didn't live long when he was reduced to being a commoner in exile.

If he was this horrific killer as they say he was he wouldn't have stopped just because he was exiled. I wish there was information about his life after..

He had the power to act according to his wishes without fear of penalty his lowered status doubtfully would have changed his attitude & I think he would have continued his sociopathic behaviour with his followers roaming around the Country taking life here & there thereby reducing the attention of his crimes to the authorities as his crimes had done on his previous home ground

Was there DNA evidence against him?
Did he have a proper lawyer or was it just a public defender?
From the time of his arrest, had he made bail?
Was the other prisoners who gave evidence against him had made deals with the prosecutor for reduced sentences?
What would have happened to a man named Hun at prison?
Find the answer to these questions and more, next time on, Dragon Ball Z!

Sima Qian is pronounced Ser-Ma Chien, more or less. I don't mind you mispronouncing the name of a mass murderer, but to screw up the illustrious Sima Qian is a crime. Pinyin, the official romanisation of Chinese is not too hard, you just have to overcome the prejudice that every Roman letter has to stand for the exact same sound in Chinese as it does in English. The pinyin 'q' is a "ch" sound, as is 'ch', but the two are subtly different, though instantly detectable to Chinese ears..

If he was truly a serial killer, then I think he continued on killing. If he was framed, then maybe he would be able to live a completely normal life afterward. Not many serial killers manages to do the same.

Wow, interesting ... My thought is he at least just had proximity to a murderous group and likely was hot headed, arrogant, possibly he was framed, I could totally see that. Great post!

I suspect stripping him of his title was a way for anybody who wanted to go and pay him back for his deeds to do so without much concern, guy probably wound up in a ditch somewhere feeding the vultures.
Far as "first" serial killer? Myself I think we didn't have any back then because a person could go and get their fill of killing and not only raise no questions but actually be right by the morals of the day, true you get the odd weirdo like this guy or say Elizabeth Bathory wo just go overboard but...hell look at Vlad Tepes guy WAS a hero in a way but he was also likely a serial killer and if he'd lived at a later time I've no doubt the guy would be some kind of Ted Bendy or such.
