GIRLS GRAVEL RIDE | DIDN’T EXPECT TO SEE A LION!

Got a bit of a way to go with the gravel confidence but this was a lovely get back into gravel ride ~ I did a few big gravel rides earlier this year (Dirty Reiver the main one!) but I’m not very confident off road so it’s something I want to work on.

Amy re: the road experience - for me its the flow, the feeling of smooth speed. I enjoy figure skating for the same reason. Also swimming can feel that way if you’re strong enough and have good form.

Amy I would run tyre pressure 20 - 25 psi this time year. Loads more grip on gravel will feel to low but it’s more grip . Enjoy & happy new year to both

Thanks for the video Amy, recently bought a gravel bike out here in Bordeaux, my vintage pinarello racer was not strong enough for the cobbles around the city 😊, now I have found so many off road trails around the vineyards & coastal paths. Joyeaux Noel Mike 🎅

Clumber park national trust has a huge area to play out on the bikes.
You can go from Clumber up to sherwood pines mostly off road on easy beginners gravel. Such a beautiful place to ride..

Spent my boyhood in the 70s riding my 5 speed Carlton Continental around the lanes and bridleways of the Strelley, Cossall, Awsworth, and Kimberley area. I'm 60 now, but still ride and live in Nottingham. Have occasionally visted the Mullbery Cafe and rambled through those old lanes. Of course in the 70s Strelley Hall was private and there were certainly no Lions to speak of 😊.

Middleton Top, down to Carsington, Ashbourne, Tissington Trail to High Peak Trail & back to Middleton Top is a great loop on a gravel bike.
