DUDE, this helped much. I spent 3hrs trying to figure this out and got nowhere until this video. Going to Control Panel > Network & Internet > Network Connections, then right clicking and adjusting the properties of the specific Ethernet port was the key. By default, windows 10 "Settings > Network" window doesn't make changing these settings easy and intuitive.

Just worked for me on MacOS; I edited the ethernet settings and matched the subnet masks. after 3 hours....thank you!!!

Dude i have spent all day watching video's with no luck ? i saw your video i think first, and didn't watch the rest, watched the rest and saw what you did WOW ! you are the man ! but it was funny it still didn't work at first and i was like huh ? i went back and realized the 3d number in was 110 instead of 10 and went and went back loaded up I am forever in debt to you ! thank you man ! got to say what a joke this company does ? doesn't have simpler hook up ? But it does make sense now, since you'd have to have the connecting numbers to make it work through the network, but it was kinda hard to know that at first !
