There should be a class that just teaches you how to be an adult

Mainly remember that highschool is only 4 years of your life. Like it is not as big as the movies make it seem like.

Things you need to know:
Every year math is getting harder.
Don't buy food in school they're gross, so just pack your own.
You don't need to be shy or afraid on asking questions on your teacher.
Be independent.
Don't rely on your friends, they're all plastics.
Don't plagiarize.
Review your exams weeks before it happens.
Review your notes everyday, you will never know if there would a pop-up quiz.
It's okay to cheat sometimes but don't make it too suspicious.

"Anything is possible."

Sorry but my goal is to travel to the moon on a flying bear so this is false advertisement.

Best advise! Get a job and see what real life is all about. I worked full time after school at a gas station, which in those days was full service. 6 days a week, 8 hours a day with 14 hours on Sunday. I only had Tuesdays off. I bought my own car, paid for my own gas and insurance. I kept that job through College paying my own way. It makes you independent real quick. The same things in school disappear and you meet different people than you grew up with. My best friends from school drifted away since none of them worked. Being with people older than me made me realize how petty problems in school were. Matter of fact, some of the people I met were pretty shady but they were better friends than my school friends. I'm 67 now and although I tried to stay in touch with my school friends, the only constant has been my shady friends.

My advice
1. Make good friends and don't trust people easily.
2. Have fun. Don't focus on unimportant things.
3. Get the grades your university/college need and nothing more (unless that's what you want). As long as you can graduate with grades you're proud of and that get you to your next step in life, use your extra time and energy to have fun.

I've been making a list of the things they don't teach you at school. They don't teach you how to love somebody. They don't teach you how to be famous. They don't teach you how to be rich or how to be poor. They don't teach you how to walk away from someone you don't love any longer. They don't teach you how to know what's going on in someone else's mind. They don't teach you what to say to someone who's dying. They don't teach you anything worth knowing.
~a super relevant quote from Neil Gaiman ~

There's a difference between looking back at something and saying... I should've done this and experiencing it in the moment.

Some people act like high school is everything...and it's not. Life really starts hitting you when you graduate.

Appreciate living at home while you can. When you're in college, you don't get a home cooked meal if you don't cook it yourself, and your laundry doesn't get done if you don't do it yourself. Also appreciate not spending tons of money on textbooks. Lastly, be nice to your parents. One day you'll miss them.

Things I wish I knew in High School. Life actually sucks, and high school is the best time of your life.

High school doesn't teach you how to be an adult. You have to keep looking and researching for stuff. I use YouTube for everything, from opening a locked trailer to how to make myself more cleaner.
