I was born and raised on Oahu 48 years now living in Las Vegas. Everything you guys talked about is so true. Especially respecting the culture. I love Hawaii but it just got too expensive. Love your videos!!

I'm local. Hawaii is expensive. 80% of all domestic goods are imported into Hawaii which is one of the most isolated land masses in the world. Additionally, the cost of housing in Hawaii is about three times what it is generally in the United States. The current median price of a single family home on Oahu is $920, 000. Affordable housing guidelines set by a Hawaii state agency could rate two-bedroom homes costing $1 million as affordable for some households eligible for government-subsidized housing. If you come here without reviewing the pros and cons, make sure you have an exit plan and the funds to execute it because it's so easy to be priced out of paradise and literally become the working homeless.

I grew up in Virginia Beach...very close to the water. The solutions for in-house rust and dampness are de-humidifiers...one per room.

Having spent a lot of time in Hawaii it’s interesting to hear your perspective. I remember when north shore was a lot more country. It’s so much easier to get things there now. More restaurants, stores and grocery stores have been built. I love Hawaii so much and it’s so great you guys were able to make it happen. Costco is helpful for saving money, just takes a little bit more planning ahead.

very true about how everything is so expensive in Hawaii it's shocking! 😄But yes about the body positivity! It was in Hawaii where I realized that there is no reason to be too self-conscious. Love you guys!

I’m an American ex-pat and now live in Israel, and wildly though I live inland so much of this is similar!!! (I.e. less materialism, expensive food, no Amazon Prime, and literally sand/dust everywhere!) enjoy your new life!

We just moved after nearly 4 years living a few miles south of you. So many of your points are so true! Back on the mainland now, life is so different (and cheap)

i visited honolulu, Hawaii in 2019 for 5 days which was no .1 on my bucket list .People are down to earth, kind, loving and i took uber for sight seeing for places that was far away and the drivers are so friendly when compared to the newyork ones .Its so relaxing and refreshing and u dont miss anything as every store is there (love ABC stores).If u are a foodie have Leonards donuts (yummy), shaved ice, Udon noodles etc. I want to visit Maui and to go to Hilo for the Merrie Monarch festival in future .Take care Be safe Aloha.
