There's an easy solution to the speed of opening applications. Just get developer settings and set the window animations all to 0.5x. I'm not sure if the G7 has better specs however.

Thanks for making this. I may just hold off for another year as it doesn't seem like enough of a performance increase over the g5 plus (I have the g5s plus which I assume is the same spec wise). If my g5s plus breaks though the g7 will be what I buy

Love my G5 plus but the charging port is on the way out. Was looking at getting a G7 plus but I'd rather try and source another G5 plus from what I've seen here. Thanks for the demo 👍

Could you show any differences when using google maps? My moto G5 plus slows to a crawl whenever I'm using maps. I was wondering if the G7 is any better. I can't believe you opened up google+ instead of maps haha
