I've read this book multiple times but have yet to see the movie. It does look solid though. And this is a neat callback to Sagan.

one of my favorite movies, although I was hugely disappointed in the ending. Sagan offered an elegant resolution of science and religion at the conclusion of his book, and when I first saw the movie in the theater I greatly anticipated the transcendent ending. Unfortunately, there only a pleasant "meh"at the end, rather than one of the greatest punchlines in science fiction/speculation. Never noticed the constellation motif--- nice tidbit.

If they WERE the Leonid Meteors, would they (possibly) be emanating from the constellation of the Corona Borealis?
