Lawn Boy 10734/17734 Unbox and Assemble

In this video, I take a break from technology and assemble a lawn mower!

The Lawn Boy 10734/17734 is an electric start, self-propelled mower.

It also features a 149cc Kohler engine with the Tru-Start Commitment.

In this video we unbox the mower, setup the handle, connect the ignition, add oil, charge the battery, and finally start it up.

After mowing a yard with this Lawn Boy, I am impressed. It performed very well, even on hill side areas. The self-propel on this mower is smooth and responsive. The wheels and overall weight of the mower allow it to glide across the ground with ease.

It sure makes mowing the lawn an easier task when your tools work this well.

I have a Lawn Boy 10734/17734 Electric Start mower, with the Kohler XT series. The problem is I need a part number for air filter on XT series. Ace Hardware has tried twice to get the correct match, but failed. It certainly wouldn't hurt to have Lawn Boy have part numbers on replacement parts available when purchasing the mower.

Should it have a central belt cover around the pulley on top of the blade? Google others and confirm with producers or sellers. Thing is, grass goes right in-between the belt and the pulley making the performance drier and drier until the belt breaks. Check others and you probably ask for yours if in fact it should have one cover in the center. Is like a c in shape in the center diminishing considerably the space between it and the belt so a minimum of grass can go in there.

Replaced the ignition module more than once. Cuts nice but engine is weak

Hmm, just saw where your, very good review, is about 4 yrs old. I just ordered the same LB-17734 model mower. It's same model # so unless they've made any changes, guessing it'll be the same exact mower. HomeDepot/Amazon has em same price. But none are at HD stores today. Since I have to order it anyway, why not let Amazon free ship it to my front door. Hoping my new mower works well as your's. It's replacing a several years old, twice repaired, red, Toro. Look forward to the key start, easier wheel adjustment, Kawasaki Green is cool too. {;>)
