your shift boot technique saved me from a loop login. the sudo apt-get clean wasn't working. the one in the recovery mode did the job. thanks.

Thanks man it worked for me, but do you know any way to remove password for root? In first try i accidentally didn't type the user so it set the password for root now I don't know how to remove it
