I am straigh and I was verbaly and physicaly abused as a child by other children, and I no longer am willing to call that bu"bullying."
For decades, i talked about this to teachers and therpaists.  As a child I was  ignorored when I spoke about it, and as and adult it was totaly ridiculed,  I had a teacher say that I was :whining" when I wrote an essay about it, and even had a therapist say "what world do you live on" as if this happened to nobody else.  I am so glad that finnaly, finnaly, this is being taken seriously.  If it is gays that made it happen, I am greatful to them for doing what I was unable to do.  If it is illegal on the streets, it should be illegal in schools. How is this unreasonable?

Not a day goes by where I think I'm the only christian who isn't mean, a bully, homophobic, or just says random non logical statements *sigh*

So what if the motivation to stop bullying has support from LGBTQ advocates? Adults should have been taking a stand against it many years ago. But if they're doing it now, then great.

I was in grade school over 20 years ago and was bullied mercilessly. I was threatened, excluded and beaten. If society in general had been taking a stand against ALL forms of bullying then, my school years might have been much different.

This is so ignorant I could split my seams. I've never known any "christian" in this country to be subjected to daily physical and mental punishment for following their beliefs. I blame YOU, Coach and ilk for perpetuating ignorance, accessory to suicide, teen runaways (I was one due to bullying) and self-righteous judgementalism that belongs only to the great spirit.

This is what happens when you allow your critical thinking and reasoning to become compartmentalized. He is unable to see that they are the same thing because he's put them into two categories of reasoning. He does the same thing for agendas. This is what allows him to merely say the word and imply an automatic negative connotation, when the word houses no such connotation in it's definition.

Saying what your conscience tells you to say does not make it right. Certainly not if your conscience is operating under ignorance about bullying on gay teens and the harm it inflicts - gay bashing, gay teen suicide, etc.
