Hey everyone in this video I wanted to take a look at the disturbing things channel 5 has put out into the world. Covering the speculation behind Selene Delgado, the Facebook profile that popped up named Selene Delgado. As well as the disturbing uploads canal 5 started uploading to their Twitter account at around 3am.

Also, we have really only scratched the surface of the disturbing things going on at canal 5. I will dig even deeper if you guys like this video :)

Is Selene Delgado even real?

I believe Selene is definitely a real person and that the OG broadcasts were genuine. it's not too uncommon for missing person reports to interrupt daytime TV so that everyone can be on the lookout. Back then photos were really poor quality, so sketches were probably the best bet for a few people. Selene having generic features doesn't mean anything -- it's very possible that a real person could have "generic" features.

also, I doubt that AI generated images were that good back then. they've just learned how to create hands and faces. There's no way they could create Selene.

okay, here are my thoughts.
1. Selene Delgado is 100% real.
2. AI was either really primitive or non-existent at the time.
3. the poor camera quality could be from them storing the picture for a while, and/or the poor 90's instant camera quality especially taken by an amateur, also broadcasting it onto analog tv screens with poor connection could have bumped down the quality even further.
4. imo the Manuel Rosas image is wayy scarier

Selene Delgado was more certainly real person, it isn´t uncommon for people to go missing in Mexico (Specially young women)

The quality of the photograph is probably just a result of the lack of affordable quality cameras in Mexico during the early 90s.

The whole part about the picture being Ai generated is a big stretch in logic to make.

I don't think this picture of Selena Delgado is creepy in and of itself, she's kind of pretty actually to me. But you know Joanna Lopez is still missing too...

As someone that grew up in Mexico City for most of my childhood I vividly remember that sometimes in school we would talk about the pictures they would show and how we thought they were "haunted" since the images were super disturbing, I mean when you are a kid everything is haunted but all kids would watch channel 5 for the most part because it was the GO TO channel to watch the cartoons after school. I never thought this channel would make me remanence about this disturbing topic that I never payed much attention as a kid.

I believe that the broadcast was just for attention because of the weird videos they posted at 3 am, but I still feel like the photo of Selene Delgado was of a real person or at least based off of one because it seems more real than the ai generated photos and very human seeming.

I don’t understand the logic behind the publicity stunt theory. How would it benefit anyone to make up one missing person’s case amongst a set of all these other people who’ve gone missing? As far as we know, PSAs like this wouldn’t just casually make someone up when real people's lives are at stake. It'd seem rather counterproductive.

I am mexican and its really weird to see people from other countries talking about a channel that was basically my childhood, like its really weird how the same channel that broadcasted dragon ball z its the same channel that created a mistery like Selene Delgado xd

I have never ever understood why people think shes AI generated or not a real person. I dont think there is anything unsettling about her, people probably only feel that way when they see her picture because its always presented under a creepy context. Of course you’ll think the picture is creepy if you’re told the picture is creepy. I guess i have my own bias though because she looks so much like one of my best friends so she has always looked like a real person to me.

So happy to hear you pronounce Selene properly. So many other creators I've watched cover this always say "Seh-leen" and it gets really infuriating sometimes

Channel 5 feels like the channel you would see in nightmares, wake up and find it on your Television in the middle of the night

I really don’t get what’s so creepy about the original Selene Delgado photo, other than there not being any background info on it. It just looks like a bad quality photocopy. The girl looks completely normal and honestly fairly pretty.

I believe she was a real missing person, and that whoever is in charge of Canal 5 is now using her as a "creepypasta gimmick" to hop on the popularity of the mystery. knowing that she's a young woman makes it all the worse because there's a good chance she could've been kidnapped by a p3rvert or tr4fficked. instead of using this newfound traction to call for witnesses, look through archives for any possible updates, or get in contact with potential relatives, they used it as a marketing ploy and treated her as if she's a fictional monster akin to Jeff the killer or the momo face. their lack of empathy is really distressing and I don't know why anyone plays into it and treats the Canal 5 3am posts as a "creepy mystery" rather than a pathetic marketing ploy - which is all it is.
