I was brought up as omnivore focused on good old style home cooking from scratch, very little processed foods, healthy snacking as a kid and in adult life it's just occures on rare occasions. Sweets are an occasional treat, I rarely fry, but excluding anything forever from my diet is inimaginable to me.😂 Balancing it out, yeah, sure... Overly strict diets and diet plans just make me miserable and I never count calories. If I want to loose weight I just cut slightly on carbs, nice full fat aged cheeses and stick to one fruit a day and eat more veggies.

Education and mindset is the step before choosing a diet or meal plan. Then experiment with different types. I chose carnivore but only because I never believed it worked and honestly thought it was more vegan, vegetarian voodoo on the opposite spectrum. I never knew how to read ingredients and often didn't care because I had my youthfulness to fall back on. Then I was diagnosed with severe issues. Thats when everything changed for me. Removing processed foods and seed oils alone improved my health within a month but I was tired all the time. When I eat majority meats and fats, im energized and can now go on mountain bike rides and hikes. My blood work an BP is all optimal as well. Plus I have a great medical team focused on all my nutrition. But I meet all the target points without adding or subtracting anything right now. Its a fun journey 😃 ❤❤ Side note, would I recommend the carnivore? Not necessarily because we all have different needs but I do share my experience 😉

Yeh the 8st I lost on keto gives it some credibility. I get the message, I do but balance and moderation wouldn't have got me where I am
