You need to either Ad a line of paste from top to bottom. Or rub it on like peanut butter on a slice of bread using a paste spatula lol the newer cpus are longer there for the dot no longer cover the whole cpu.
The previous gens are square thus making the dot fine. The new gen is rectangular therefore making the dot ineffective

No cap. I bet if you lift up that CPU block it’s not covering the entire surface area if that’s really the size dot that you used.
