All the time students ask me what the difference is between a Network Admin and a System Admin. My answer is that it depends on how is asking. You really need to read job descriptions because many who label the job does not really know. They just know the job title sounds good. I try to explain the difference in this video.

I've seen Network or SysAdmin used interchangeably with the title Engineer a lot esp Network Engineer. Although the real IT Engineers designs and implement the systems. You also forgot about the Desktop Support Technicians which is the guy in the middle between the Help Desk and SysAdmins that responds to trouble tickets escalated from thr Help Desk. I work as one which usually leads into a role of a Jr. Systems Administrator since the roles are so closely related as I deal with all the break/fix issues on-site as a field Technician with end users, weither it's hardware printer issue, a failing hard drive, joining workstation computer to a domain controller or trouble shooting office 356 issues or network connectivity issues.
