An excellent scholarship essay becomes a necessity and the key to winning the money. In this video, I’ll share with you some of my biggest “don’ts” when it comes to writing and where to find some scholarship essay examples!

Scholarship application essays often carry a TON of weight when deciding who will receive the scholarship but it’s not always easy to stand out in a crowd of applications. Even if your student fits the scholarship criteria exactly, they’re still likely to be one of a number of applicants with similar grades, accomplishments, community involvements, and aspirations.

So if you want your student to get higher chances of winning financial aid so you can remove yourself from worrying about paying for college then watch this video until the end!

At The Scholarship System, we redefine paying for college to help families build strong financial futures. The Scholarship System teaches a step-by-step process to secure college funding, primarily focusing on scholarships, through our online courses and resources.

Families have secured over $10.5 million in scholarships to date, helping their students pursue their dreams of a debt-free college education.

1. Get emotional, but not too much.
2. Meet requirements (aka word count, answer all questions, deadline)
3. Don't talk about overdine words (Percevierance, resilience, hardworking)
4. Don't use filler words. (Don't be wordy!)
5. Remove dead words like (Clearly, Obviously, Perhaps, somewhat, I believe, I think)
6. Remove unnecessary transitional words.
7. Proof read the essay. Yourself, and other qualified people.
