As a highschool student (I’m not disclosing too much info), I keep stressing about getting into a good university, or really, getting REJECTED from a good university. I have extremely well grades, participate in extracurriculars-that sort of repetitive mumbo jumbo. However, now I take comfort knowing that college admission officers accept in people not ROBOTS.

great video as always man! As a student who's already been thru this process, these tips are spot on. Just one thing I would say is if your going to list your ECs, have a purpose in doing so. Its one thing to just list them out to "flex them" and another to actually tie them to ur passions. Just be aware of the way you present urself in the essay.

Thank you this was very helpful. I keep stressing about college essays because im going into senior year and it feels like my time is limited, especially since I plan on doing early application and I have 2 other required essays to write. Even though I took AP lang and can write about basically anything it feels like I always blank out when it comes to myself, I can't seem to think about anything unique, interesting, or endearing about me worth writing an essay over. stressing about college essays makes me feel like I have no sense of self and no experiences, btw said med majors look for mature people do you know what comp sci majors look for personality wise?

I am currently writing my personal statement and the prompt is: Describe your career goals and paths you will take to achieve your goals. How will your extracurricular and leadership activities help you define your career? How will your career goals impact the community? I just can’t think of a way to write a narrative/story for this prompt. Is it even possible to write a story for this prompt or should I just make my response informational (like just write my answers)?

But something inside me changed a few days ago, due to some personal reasons. Now I want to get into Harvard and preparing for it from now, no matter how impossible it may seem. I had got a story of mine and could my events with them too.
Also I had crafted some segments where I provided conception of my failure and what I had done to overcome that!
But, there was 2 queries constantly hitting on my mind:
i)Shall I mention my future plans during the conclusion of the essay?
ii) Can I mention why my last academic exam result was terrible bad!
And explain my efforts through implementing short words?
iii) Is it preferable to praise about the college at the end of the essay?
Or, why this clg is special towards me?
