What Was the Enlightenment? AP Euro Bit by Bit #25

The Enlightenment was a major development in the history of European thought and had numerous ramifications for 18th century Europeans that have spread across the globe to the modern day. Much of the way the West looks at the world and its societies was shaped in this relatively brief period of time. So here is my little introduction to a time of great thinkers and great ideas.

I think that a lot of people don't really know what makes the western culture so special although not perfect and are not able to be grateful to live in such cultural environment.
