I don't think you're totally off base but you are missing I think a more important aspect of the problem it's the fact that they were trying to cater to everyone but they're not in everyone kind of bike just like they have a huge base of old and young followers they have an equal base of people who want nothing to do with Harley and that kind of image and that's the people they ended up trying to go after lately and by doing that they ended up segregating and scaring off their main demographic just like what Bud light did when they teamed up with Dylan Mulvaney totally off-brand and it pissed off they're real fans and not hurt them extremely and that's exactly what Harley did
