As a Dane I can only say that despite all differences, and a hell of a lot of conflicts. I'm still pleased to be surrounded by the best neighbour's in all directions, you could wish for.

I would like to see a deeper dive into the Swedish Vikings, their influence in Russia, and their interest in eastern spirituality. I learned a little about my heritage already in this short video and would love to learn more.

Swedish vikings went on Viking voyages to places like England, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Ukraine, Russia, the Balkans, Turkey, Georgia, and Azerbadjan, settling in and influencing many of the places. So, what is this guy on about? They also were the last to give up their pagan ways.

The nations of Sweden, Norway and Denmark didn’t looks the same as they did back then, geography speaking that is.

The southern tip of Sweden was Danish territory and today’s Gothenburg was Norwegian.

What does that mean?
That today’s Sweden has the most mixture of viking faiths

The Rus vikings raided down the rives of Russia all the way to the black sea and Miklagard, Gave Russia it's name and Ruled the Kievan Rus. I think it was in Miklagard where the Rus vikings were hired as Varangian Guards by the emperors, and in Miklagard where they carved in their 'grafitti' and names in the stone benches.

The north and west coast of Scotland including the Hebrides and including the Isle of Mann was a Norwegian province for nearly two hundred years. The northern islands of Scotland Orkney and Shetland were a different Norwegian province.

They knew Bow and Arrows, Axe, Hatchet, Swords, Knives, and use of Shield.

Thought 20% of today's England got Danish ancestors due to settlements after big raidings & accepting christianity 1st? Sweden more quiet but kept faith longest? Norway, a stubborn raiding trouble maker.

Shetlanders aren't of norse descent, only 29% of the population of shetland have Scandinavian ancestry. They are of vast majority Celtic stock.

Some where you aren't simplifying things..

This is extremely superficial, and leves out a lot the interconnectedness of what is now three separate countries...

Honestly I think this was for clicks based on popular fascination with Vikings, as there is nothing informative in this, just.s quick rundown by someone looking for attention..

This is how it's done!
