A note, sometimes you may need to move the graphicsrules and .ini file to the desktop on Win10. I couldnt edit them until placed outside the folders as it error'd that I needed to 'contact the file owner to edit'

Edit: thanks so much for this, was able to do all this in about 15min and my pc is so quiet now. I have a 2060 and it was running hot and loud as a jet engine, now it's nearly silent. 8)

Thank you! I had already followed other recommendations, but I modified some things along with what you show and it helped a even more.
It bugs me how poorly optimized this game is, even after all these modifications, not having impeccable performance on the machine I use today is something surreal.

Good video with simple overrides for performance. I have issue with Smooth Patch 1.2.1 where "when i drop .package mods" UI bugs out and makes existing saves unusable. Deleting it don't make this fatal error. Anyways thanks. now i can see full 165 FPS on my Sims 3

Hi, I’ve recently changed my laptop, it has 13th generation cpu and an integrated GPU. My game crashes and instantly stopes after 10-20 minutes of playing. I have had this problem since I installed the game. I have tried the NRAS mode and Smooth patch, I have also downloaded the GPU Add On and modified what you suggested and it still crushes under 20 minutes of playing. Can you please help me ? I rlly love this game and I cant find a fix..

At around 15:50 you talk about the seti texture memory number that it doesn't need to be any higher; Mine is at 4096 do I need to lower it or is that still fine?

When I try to save the changes the Graphics Rules, it's saying access denied. How do I bypass this error?

this is so helpful thank you so much! however, i'm a bit confused. am i supposed to open the game through the smooth patch version or the normal sims game? because all the gpu changes we made was on the original game so which do i open? thank you again!!
