85 year old great great Tony Bennett, said Amy had one of the best jazz voices ever heard and he might know a thing or two about voices/music!

Addiction may be in many of us genes but, woah, the voice, style, class of Amy Winehouse is one in a billion....God given, if you like, but, OMG, awesome, unique, wonderful Amy!

Every now and then a voice comes along that makes your heart beat faster and you have to sit up and listen to it, you just have to and then you marvel, astounded that anyone could sing like that. And you know that the remarkable feeling she instils in you is just going to be with you until you die, you won't be able to get this sound out of your mind. This is the magical power that Amy had over us, we that loved her along with that sweet husky ethereal special voice she had. I will never cease to wonder at how she used to make me feel the moment one of her songs came on the radio or on the TV. How she touched me deeply, and how I lost something in my life when she passed away. I know that I'm not the only one that feels this way. Such a loss, such a special and rare thing was Amy Winehouse. Will we ever hear such a rare and touching voice as hers gain? Tragic Magic, I miss you Amy, so much.

You cannot take the depression out of amy's package. the greatest art is often made by people in extreme mental suffering. I wish people would stop saying, "amy could have saved herself if she blah blah blah". no, then this is not the amy who would make this kind of music.

Addiction is in most of us - in some form or another! She gave us the best what a shame it ended far to soon.

Muito se escreveu sobre Amy, mas é essencial voltar à sua musica e os grandes momentos Um deles é a chegada aos USA . "Rehab, " The Late Show With David Letterman, 2007 “ When Amy made her U.S. television debut on Letterman, America probably didn't know what it was in for. Amy never looked more pleased with herself than in this very moment.” ( NYMagazine). Amazing !!!

If you look at her early appearances and compare it to her later years; wow it looks like a different person.  In the beginning she looks very much her own person and quite together but you can see her losing it, losing confidence in what she is doing in subsequent performances.   What ever else was going drugs/alcohol didn't do a thing for her.   What a tremendous loss for us all.
