I would like to make that strip quilt too. We gave up on tv years ago…. I enjoy hearing you talk so much on your quilt episodes. I also enjoy doing cross stitch, but am drastically cutting back on flosstube…

Lovely catch-up Anna. Our kids have moved back in us on numerous occasions with our grandchildren. You love them so much but it can. E exhausting. Lovely you had time to stitch with a friend. ❤️🌺

We planted vegetables for the first time as retirees. We also planted flowers so our yard is a blooming. Doing a craft each day from cross stitch, wool, hand quilting, redwork and ornaments. Busy busy busy

Thanks for the sit 'n stitch. Now you know how I feel after a day at preschool! While you chatted, I rearranged and put away fabric. I think I am going to give some away to a friend. I have so many ideas and fabric, but not enough time... I try to sew for an hour after dinner on the weeknights, but sometimes I am too tired. Rest up for another day.

I loved that strip pieced quilt and really want to find that book. If you decide to do it can't wait to see what you use. I think reality TV is why I gave up TV. I quit watching TV in 2018 and never looked back. I do however watch a lot of youtube which is basically really TV all over again, but it mostly quilting so somehow I can justify that.

I was so happy to spend some time w/today. My bestie passed this morning and my heart is broken..literally. We quilted together all the time. We never bother watching 'Reality Shows'. The adverts for them makes us wonder what the morals of today's youth are going to teach those of tomorrow! Not just the young either! Sorry Anna rant over. Yes Anna, I too find that when making scrappy projects you end up buying more fabrics to fit in with the scraps thus not making that much needed hole in your stash😄. I have a a tall bookcase full of embroidery, quilting, Cross Stitch, lace books and stitching dictionaries (to name a few) and various pattern pull outs from magazines I can't bear to part with. I love to look through them and use them.
