#Satisfactory is an FPS open-world factory building sim by #CoffeeStain Studios. You play as an engineer on an alien planet as part of the ‘Save The Day’ program - a program whose goal is to construct a massive machine for a mysterious purpose. i wish every disgusting bigcorpo game devs get forced to watch this video 24/7 until they understand how to be a decent company.

The main reason I could tell that the game was blowing up after 1.0 was that the Reddit sub is now getting filled up with "Help! I can't stop playing this game"

Honestly, the moment where Snutt gets distracted by a squirrel showcased the most important thing that Coffee Stain kept in mind as a company throughout all of development.

Be human.

They always kept in mind that they were gamers at one point too, and remembered to listen to what other gamers were saying and doing about the game. I remember being wary when the Early Access was a year-long Epic exclusive, but they won me over with their strong community links. And even now, after release, they're still keeping to it. Kudos.

Honestly, I've played "bad" games because the dev team was great. I've passed up "great" games because the devs were so toxic. This is the golden combo of amazing people making an amazing game, and I'm so glad I could witness its growth!

They should write a book about this development cycle called "how to do early access well". The sad thing is that this type of game will never be as profitable as live service, but we're fortunate enough to have studios like coffee stain who are still willing to make them. Love your players and they will love you back.

I literally took 2 weeks off from work just to play 1.0, and have put in ~100 hours since release so far. Couldn't be happier.

It should be mentioned that for some of us the game just works. Or Minor glitches.

My biggest problem has been doggo pathing. When they get stuck and refuse to move, I use the boombox to blow them onto a jump pad. A really fun side quest, highly recommend doing with a friend. Don't tell my FICSIT supervisor.

Guys you are the Blueprint of how it should be done. Early Access sorting out and designing, close collaboration with the Community and listening to the people playing your game. That all led to a successful 1.0 go-live and you right away continue to support the community the best you can. Awesome! THANK YOU! :-)

Legit, Coffee Stain’s community management is S-tier, Gold Standard communication. I wish y’all could be in charge of every game dev company’s community management. As someone who never even used to follow the games I was excited for until updates hit steam, y’all made videos that were engaging, exciting, and as transparent as can be reasonably expected towards the nuts and bolts of the development of your game, and actually got me to follow along with the journey and root for you. Keep being awesome, and keep squashing dem bugz!

Imagine if KSP 2 had the same way of telling how the game is progressing and being developped etc, (if it was actually progressing...) than CSS do. This team is the best <3

I absolutely love this!!!! Alot of dev teams will release and never post videos like this, even if to them it would be "The players can just google the solution" but this video alone making sure everyone is enjoying their game and are able to play it without as many hiccups. Satisfactory has always been in my heart for its community and the dev team alone and will be my #1 game for all of eternity!

The moment I knew you guys were a different breed of developer is when you guys were having issues with update 8 I believe? Nothing but the utmost respect to the player and communication on what was going on.

You guys are the gold standard of developers and something every developer should strive for.
