Children are not expected to leave home at age 18, many go to college, but still live at home. Many also live at home until they get good jobs and/or get married. If you are poor you have access to free healthcare through medicaid and other means, when you over 65 you get medicare. If you go to emergency they cannot deny you care.

I believe no matter the country. The reason some stores or businesses prefer cash is because it’s harder for the government to track cash then it is for them to track an electronic card payment. That’s the reason they prefer cash.

The information about health care is not accurate. Here in the US if you get sick and you don’t have insurance and can’t afford financially the hospital will not refuse treatment to individual. The hospitals are required to treat you regardless of your financial situation. I worked in one of the hospitals here. We treated people with and without insurance or money.

The emergency rooms here in the US cannot turn you away. It depends on which health insurance plan you opt for determines the out of pocket costs. But no one goes without health care because they're poor.
